New year new blog look! Chance gave me a new blog website for Christmas and I’m super excited. You can think whatever you want about me having a blog… oh another “mommy blogger”, everyone does it, whatever! I’ve been blogging for years and I absolutely LOVE it and I would still do it even if not one single person read it but me. This is an online journal and it is treasure to me! Connecting with others through this blog is just an awesome bonus! That being said, if you’re here and reading, thank you and welcome! I hope to make this a positive and inspiring space for any who come upon it.
With it being the start of a new year I’m going to introduce myself!
I’m Aubrey! I’m a wife, mother, creator and documenter, laugher, explorer, and jr mints eater. I started a private blog my senior year of high school that was more like a diary and then in college I made it a public blog so my mom could keep up on my life (haha bless her). My roommate Annie and I did all kinds of awesome (actually kind of lame but awesome to us) stuff and it is seriously my favorite thing to go back and read it all. I got married in 2014 so the blog turned into a documentation of married life! Now with a baby in the mix it’s just continuing as a life history… and really anything else I want it to be. That’s the beauty of it. I have control!
I have been a professional wedding photographer for 4 years and it’s been such a crazy journey. I never really decided I wanted to be a photographer, let alone a wedding photographer, but it just kind of happened! I feel so lucky! Along with blogging, picture taking was just a hobby. Pictures to go with my words, or rather words to go with my pictures since there were always way more pictures in each post, has been my favorite part of blogging. It’s been amazing to have a sustainable job doing something that I love. Even luckier for me, my husband decided to join me in the industry and he now does videography so we get to work together all the time. DREAM!
I started dating my husband, Chance, in college. You can read more about our story here. We got married in 2014 and he is my very best friend! He has never doubted my talents and potential and is always there to encourage and support me. He loves me fiercely and I’m so happy I found him!
Almost a year ago we had our first baby, Indie Jo! Becoming a mom is literally a dream come true. There is nothing like having this tiny best friend to watch learn and grow. Time is going too fast, I can’t believe she will be one soon! I love implementing things into her childhood that I had in mine. It’s just the best thing!
In the spring of 2016 within a matter of 4 months we had the idea to live in a vintage restored trailer and drove across the country to purchase said trailer. (You can read more about that adventure here). We seriously underestimated the time and work that it would take to restore this trailer…since we are still working on it, but it’s getting CLOSE! We plan to live in this trailer full time, traveling and living small. We have an instagram account documenting all the progress and you can check that out on instagram @thestellarstream. I’m so proud that we are truly chasing our dreams.
So that’s pretty much us. In this blog you’ll find just about everything. Lifestyle, style (even though my fashion sense is… sub par haha I love a good outfit), tiny living, random ramblings, adventuring, momming, cooking maybe? etc. Life guys, it’s amazing and it’s what you want it to be. My blog title does happen to play off our last name, but truly we are living life while we’re young, and though we are actually young right now, we believe being young doesn’t have to die with age. It’s a mindset! We hope to inspire you to go after your dreams and live the life you want!
