Indie Jo turned 1 year old!!! It was so much fun to plan and throw! At least I thought it was fun, and let’s be honest… the first birthday is totally for the parents! Like, we all survived the first year, so let’s celebrate.. haha! I actually planned most of her birthday several months in advance, because there was one night I just could not sleep and so I starting pinterest-ing and decided on a theme, found a super cute dress for her to go with her theme and the most perfect watermelon balloon! When it came time to really prep for her party I pretty much stuck with it all! I decided to have PB&J sandwiches, fruit, and veggies. All things Indie loves! I mean it is her birthday after all… The watermelon looking rice krispy treats didn’t turn out as cute as they were on pinterest (of course…) but everything was really great. We had lots of family come and she got some really fun gifts! Including our little announcement that she was going to be a big sister! Everyone was actually pretty surprised and it was a really fun way to announce it! Poor Indie was getting over being sick so she’s not very smiley in any of these pictures, but I think she enjoyed it!
It’s so crazy to think how fast the time has gone. How she used to just fit in one arm so comfortably, and although she’s still so small, she’s grown so much. We love seeing her personality show more and more each day. We had a wonderful time celebrating the joy she is to our family!
